Madhuri dixit, a great actress of Bollywood industry was a top-line model before entering this industry. Her first Hindi movie was 'Abodh', a released and forgotten movie. Then Madhuri's God father Subhas Ghai gave her the proper launch through the movie 'Ram Lakan'. But she became very famous after her Ek-do-teen dance number in ' Tezaab '.

She was born to Mr. Shankar & Mrs. Snehlata Dixit on May 15, 1967 in Mumbai. Her pet name is Bubbly and she has two sisters and a brother. Madhuri's hobbies are dancing and singing. She married a surgeon in Los angles named Shri Ram Nene. Her favourite Indian hero is Balraj Sahani and heroine is Nargis.

Madhuri hates cockroaches and her strengths are her family and friends. Maharastrian dishes, cheesy stuff are her favorite food items. Her all time favorite Hindi movies are Sholay, Padosan and Ganga jamuna. Madhuri's aim was to become a microbiologist but her fortune turned her to the Hindi film industry.

Madhuri has received many awards. In 1991 she got the Film Fare Award for 'Dil', Film Fare 'Best Actress Award' for 'Beta' in 1993 and many more.
